WOMAN STABBED IN ELYRIA OVERNIGHT

Elyria Police say they spoke with 22 year old Sherinda Brooks at Elyria Memorial Hospital just after 3 a.m. Tuesday morning after being told by the ER staff they were treating a woman that had been stabbed at Mardi Gras.

Brooks told Police that she had been in a fight with a Hispanic female who she believed was 20 to 24 years old and between 5’3 to 5’5 inside of the bar. Brooks said she left the bar and went to the 4th floor of the building where she was attacked again by the same woman.

Police say Brooks suffered lacerations to her left cheek, right breast and to the rear of her left shoulder. Brooks was treated and released from Metro.
