FIRE GUTS APARTMENTS ON PRATT BLVD
Elyria – A fire that broke out in a second floor bedroom of an apartment on Pratt Blvd in Wilkes Villa sent numerous people out into the streets Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to 182 Pratt Blvd around 3:30 Tuesday and found smoke showing from the apartment building. Flames could be seen poking through a hole in the roof as well as through windows in the building.
At least one person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but was not transported to the hospital.
The Lorain County Chapter of the American Red Cross was called in by Police to assist the families that were displaced by the fire.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
