ROLLING DOMESTIC ENDS IN ELYRIA

Elyria – A Cuyahoga man was arrested Sunday evening with Domestic Violence by State Troopers after a short chase through the woods off Route 10 near Route 57.

Sergeant Paul March of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said their Post received word of a car traveling west on Route 10 heading into Lorain County with a woman in the back seat waving her arms at cars passing. “They had been fighting inside of the car since Cuyahoga County where the man apparently bit her. They ended up on the exit ramp from Route 10 to Route 57 where the female was able to jump from the vehicle to safety.”

The woman ran to a nearby car where she took refuge from her husband of just a couple months. Troopers pulled up and the man fled northbound into a wooded area. It was believed the man took a knife from inside of the car with him.

With help from a Lorain County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit and Officers from Elyria a parameter was set up and the search began. The search took about 20 minutes before Officers found the suspect, Nick Carroll, hiding in the wooded area.

Carroll was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Violence, Driving Under Suspension, Obstructing, and Blocking a Roadway.

The victim was offered but refused any medical treatment.
