TMC NEWS CELEBRATES 1 YEAR

Today, July 9, 2007, marks the one-year anniversary for TMC NEWS. Over the last year we have covered some of the biggest stories and yes we have also missed a couple as well. We are very proud of the Breaking News coverage that you see on TMC NEWS but we are also just as proud of our “In The Community” coverage, the positive news that occurs everyday in our community that deserves the same coverage and attention.

Throughout year two you will see even more Breaking News coverage and yes even more “In The Community” coverage as well. You will see some additions to TMC NEWS coming up fairly soon, but none will distract us from what we know you like seeing.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our supporters, especially those who are Gold Card members of TMC NEWS. We have made many new friends over last year and have been seeing many old ones along the way. You support has been, as Michael Settonni would say, Phenomenal! I want to make sure you understand that it is not taken lightly and is appreciated.

A small house fire in Sheffield Township started it all back in July of 2006. Our second story was the birth announcement of one of our Gold Card members, Jason Gilbert. A story that was posted on July 19th and was listed as “Breaking News” was of a tree that fell on Glenwood Street near the home of another Gold Card member, Abby Chenoweth. I still get calls from people advising me of trees down and wondering why I am not covering it.

So here is to the first year behind us and to the year ahead of us. We hope you continue checking in and that you tell a few friends about us. Who knows, you might just get your Gold Card this year too.

Happy BlogBirthday TMC!

You have made a huge impact on Lorain County both on and off-line, literally changing the way we are getting our local news.

I'm glad to say that we at Word of Mouth have been big fans since almost day one (it probably took me a couple of days to find you) - and look forward to linking to you all the more this next year.

The service you are providing is invaluable.
