LORAIN CHASE ENDS IN ELYRIA
Lorain – Five people were arrested early Tuesday morning after fleeing Police in Lorain.
Police were called to the 1900 block of East 33rd Street for a report of shots being fired. Police began searching the area for the suspect vehicle and found it at East 36th and Clinton.
When Officers attempted to pull the car over the driver took off with the Officers close behind.

The chase ended up going south on Grove into the city of Elyria. The driver of the van made a left turn onto Schadden Road and then drove into a field on the north side of the old American Fitness building. Officers surrounded the van and one by one pulled 5 people, 2 adults and 3 juveniles out and placed them into custody.
Police say that they found a handgun inside of the van and that charges are pending.
Officers and a K9 from Elyria and Troopers from the State Patrol assisted Lorain on Schadden Road.
