CONGRATULATIONS SERGEANT BROCK

Columbus – Trooper Christopher M. Brock is the new assistant post commander at the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Van Wert Post following his promotion to the rank of sergeant today by Captain Kevin Teaford, Patrol interim superintendent. Sgt. Brock previously served at the Massillon District Headquarters since August of this year.

Sgt. Brock began his Patrol career after joining the 133rd Academy Class in February 1999. After earning his commission the following July, Sgt. Brock’s first assignment was at the Findlay Post, until moving to the Akron Post in March 2000. Sgt. Brock then transferred to the Elyria Post the following December, where he earned an Ace Award in January 2003 for excellence in auto larceny enforcement. After transferring to the Chardon Post in April 2006, Sgt. Brock returned to the Elyria Post in March 2008. He went to work at Massillon District Headquarters in August 2009.

Sgt. Brock also served in the U.S. Army. Originally from Cleveland, where he graduated from Collinwood High School in 1990, Sgt. Brock currently resides in South Euclid with his wife, Marta. They have three sons, Donte, Josiah, and Noah, and one daughter, Bethany.
