AMHERST CRASH INJURES 2

Amherst – Two women were taken to the hospital after a head on collision in Amherst early Friday morning.

Witnesses say that one car was making a turn to go west onto Cooper Foster from Leavitt when another car traveling west on Cooper Foster collided with her head on.

Amherst Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to cut a passenger side door off of one of the cars to free a victim.

Although there were a total of five victims only two were transported to the hospital with the others refusing any treatment or transport.

The Amherst Police Department is investigating the crash.
