FIRE STRIKES LORAIN HOME
Lorain – A fire broke out in a Maple Road home Wednesday night around 8 p.m. – when Firefighters arrived they found heavy fire coming from the front windows.
The homeowner’s son, Doug Phillips, said he believes the fire started in one of the bedrooms but is not sure what caused the blaze. Phillips, who is a Firefighter with South Amherst, said that nobody was home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters had the fire extinguished within the hour but not before causing a water main break. The break was due to the cold weather and the quick turn on and off for the fire scene.
There were no injuries reported in the fire.
