RUSSERT DEAD AT 58
1950 - 2008
Tim Russert, long time bureau chief of NBC NEWS and host of Meet the Press, died today while at work. NBC reports that Russert was doing voice over work for this Sunday’s program when he collapsed. Russert was rushed to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, where resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, said Russert’s physician, Michael Newman.
Russert was born May 7, 1950 and was a graduate of John Carroll University and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He joined NBC in 1984 and took over Meet the Press in 1991. Russert has been praised one of the best political minds of his generation. Earlier this year, Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

truly a sad event.....sunday mornings will never be the same. You could always look forward to drinking coffee, reading the paper and listening to Tim Russert grill someone to better educate America.
How sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family
What a terrible loss. Fair, accurate, and not always with the grain. Tim Russert was a true patriot that was in it for all the right reasons.
