TWO MEN SHOT IN LORAIN
Lorain – Police in Lorain are working to find out who pulled the trigger in a double shooting in Lorain’s Southside Wednesday night.
Police responded to the area of East 29th and Fulton shortly before 9PM after they received calls of a shooting.
Both victims are in their 20’s and were treated on scene by LifeCare Ambulance Paramedics and transported to Community Health Partners Emergency Room. Both victims are being treated for gunshot wounds to their legs.
Both men have been flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

There was at least 15 kids out side playing if not more (small kids.) I just wander how those fools would have felt if they had shot one, or would they even care. What kind of world is it when it's not safe for them to even go outside and play. I will tell you a sick crazy world. My prayers go out to that family and neighbor hood you all really need it.
where is the person that commented on the fire hydrant story. something about why people think only "heathens" live in lorain????

I am right here, that is where I am. I never said we didn't have crime in Lorain. Every community has crime (yes, even YOURS!). What I DID say was that not EVERYONE who lives in Lorain is a heathen as you had suggested in your previous post, and we do not all go around opening up fire hydrants to keep cool (as you ALSO suggested). The vast majority of us ALSO do not go around shooting up neighborhoods. Geez, do you even know what goes on in your own town, or are you too busy pointing fingers at others??? Didn't some woman in Avon Lake just try to shoot her husband dead? Didn't they just bust up a teenage heroin ring in (gasp!)Westlake? North Ridgeville?? Please, where do I begin? However, that does not mean that those towns do not have law-abiding responsible citizens, JUST LIKE LORAIN. I am really sick and tired of people talking smack about things they have no actual knowledge of. Before you bash other communities, perhaps you should make an effort to clean up your own. Better yet, why not come over to Lorain and enjoy our beautiful waterfront? Have you even seen Lakeview Park lately? How about the new ball field at Columbus Park? Riverside Park is also an absolute gem.
I am at a place in my life where I can live anywhere that I choose to, and I CHOOSE to live in culturally rich Lorain; I just refuse to allow a few bad apples to ruin it for me, even you.

I Like TMC but the comments here are often exactly as you say. It bugs me. I Live in Lorain and I'm no heathen. As a matter of fact I'm a worship leader at a church. So they should find another epithet.
I dont know what exactly went on however I agree that Lorain gets a lot of negative attention. There is trash in all cities. So to those who live in Lorain that are Lorain Proud and are not "heathens" I applaud you for standing behind your city and I am glad that you dont let these bad seeds get you down.
I hope everyone is ok. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who need them.

first of all i would like to thank you for not posting anonymously. if you notice i also use a screen name. i was not the person that posted in the fire hydrant story. i read the comments and noticed you stood up for "your" city. i was just pointing out it is stories like these that give people that impression. i was not attacking you or your city personally. i live in elyria and we have plenty of problems here ourselves. have a nice day!!!

Well Elyria is no better, The south side is getting really bad, I grew up on 8th street, you wont catch me on the south after dark.
