SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING

The National Weather Service in Cleveland issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING at 7:57 PM for North Central Ohio – the warning will be in effect until 9:00 PM.

The Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM capable of producing penny size hail and destructive winds in excess of 70MPH. This storm was located 7 miles east of New London, about near Fitchville, and moving at 53MPH.

The National Weather Service states that this is a DANGEROUS STORM. They warn that if you are in the path prepare immediately for damaging winds, destructive hail and DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTENING. People outside should move to shelter – preferably inside a strong building but away from windows.

They have millions of dollars worth of high tech equipment and "Chief Meteorologists" but they still want people to call in if they observe bad weather. See, when it comes down to it you still have to use God given common sense. Haas

Want to really hear whats going on, tune your Scanner to 146.625 and listen. You will here most of the time where and when the action is before the TV or radios put it out.

Skywarn, good for what ails the weatherman.

The same TV stations with those "Chief Meterologists" also request that we take pictures of news with our cell phones for them.

Whatever happened to the good old days when TV reporters were not too good to "walk the beat" to seek and find news.

I'll read the news any day over watching the overpaid newscasters that think they are movie stars and better than us "common folk."

Nice to see someone else thinks the way I do as the 3:19 poster stated. I'd rather get my weather from Tom Kelley than those morons. Tom can tell me the weather without getting into dramatics. Haas
