WEEKEND WEATHER – WET

The National Weather Service in Cleveland is forecasting Thunderstorms for our area this weekend.

Warm, moist and unstable air will continue across the region today and tonight. The heat during the day will make the atmosphere even more unstable creating a slight risk of Severe Thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight.

The Thunderstorms have the potential to dump locally heavy rain – small streams and creeks may reach or exceed the banks if the storms remain persistent over an area.


THE WEEKEND
This Afternoon: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 93. South wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms. Low around 67. South wind between 10 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. West wind between 9 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. West wind around 6 mph.

Sunday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Southwest wind between 8 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
