DID THAT GO OUT?
Vermilion – For those of you who are not familiar with Lorain County’s LISA Alert System it is the Lorain County Information Sharing Agreement. This service has been established to provide the sharing of information between all of the Law Enforcement Agencies within Lorain County. It has also been designed to make the public aware of those Alerts that these Law enforcement agencies want to make available to the public.This morning an Email from the LISA Alert System was received at 8:25am and read as follows:
New Lisa Alert Received!
Alert Level:High
Date: 6/30/2008
City: vermilion pd
Type: Robbery
Locaion: main st
Message: someone just stole the mayors brain
Apparently, while being trained on the LISA Alert System, an employee of the Vermilion Police Department was practicing entering information. Accidentally, the information that she entered was broadcast across the system. When reached by phone the employee stated that it was simply a mistake and that it was never meant to be broadcasted.
A message was left with the Mayor for a response to the broadcast, we’ll bring you that when we receive it.

Well, I'm sure the comments are going to be great on this one. I'm just glad my tax dollars are going to such a useful training program. At least we know who's going to win the stupid employee of the month award on this one. But, let's give credit where it's due. She was able to properly post a message on the system so she should be able to use the system correctly.

Sounds like a lot of brain stealing going on in Lorain County. Politics as usual!
At least it didn't happen in Elyria. That would have explained a lot of things recently at City Hall!

For pete sakes. Those of you who continually bad mouth or complain about elyria.....if you know so much why don't you step forward and do something instead of whine.
Com centers can be extremely stressful places. Anyone who has been in a hot seat knows that moments of levity occur. It just sucks when you accidently hit the send button or key the mic at the wrong time! I feel embarrassed for her too. It doesn't mean they are not competent. Live and learn and suck it up. Its not fatal...
