CRASH AT GATEWAY & LEO BULLOCKS

EVEN BEFORE THE FIRST SNOWFLAKE FALLS
Perhaps someone was in a hurry to get home and start preparing for the possible snowstorm that is forecasted to hit Lorain County this weekend when two cars collided at the intersection of Gateway Blvd and Leo Bullocks Parkway Friday morning.

Assistant Chief Ron Brlas of the Elyria Fire Department said that it appears one car ran a red light causing the morning crash. “Two people had to be transported to the hospital with non serious injuries although one of the victims began having chest pains.”
Chief Brlas said that as Northeast Ohio prepares for the possibility of a major snowstorm this weekend drivers should extra cautious. “Drivers need to slow down as road conditions worsen, pay closer attention to the traffic around you and be prepared in case you get stuck out on the roadway. Have an emergency kit in the car (see story “Get Your Mittens Out”) and having a cell phone with you is a great idea as well.”
