POLICE: "DRIVER LEFT OF CENTER"

Elyria Police have released details from the fatal crash on Brunswick Drive Wednesday night.

Police say that the Toni Fourdyce, 22 of 144 Brunswick Dr, was exiting her driveway, in a 1996 Geo Metro, turning eastbound onto Brunswick. Fourdyce had two passengers in the car with her at that time, Teaun Bush, 20 of Cleveland, and an adult male who fled the scene prior to the arrival of Police Officers.

Nicholas Spencer, age 27, was driving his 1998 Ford Contour westbound on Brunswick and was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Spencer was traveling left of center and at a speed greater then the posted speed limit of 25 mph.

The vehicles struck in a partial head on collision in front of 149 Brunswick Dr. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Toni Fordyce was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash while Teaun Bush was transported by LifeCare Ambulance to Elyria Memorial Hospital and later flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. Police believe that a private party transported the second male passenger to Elyria Memorial. Police will release his identity after he is positively identified. LifeFlight flew Nicolas Spencer from the scene to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

Police say that no charges have been filed pending completion of the investigation.
