FIRE IN THE MILL
Lorain Firefighters responded to the Steel Mill on East 28th Street Sunday night at 7 p.m. after a ladle spilled on the 3rd floor of the Republic Engineered Products' Lorain Hot Rolled Bar Plant Basic Oxygen Process building.
Although the spill created numerous fires in the building nobody was injured. LifeCare Ambulance was called to stand by at the scene and although they did treat one person for smoke inhalation nobody was taken to the hospital.
In total, combining Lorain with the Mill Firefighters, more than two dozen Firefighters were used to extinguish the fires.
