JUST ON THEIR WAY TO GET ICE CREAM

A two-car crash in Elyria Township Thursday afternoon sent three people to the hospital, including a 4-year-old boy.

Robert Norris said that his wife was taking their 4-year-old Grandson to get some ice cream Thursday around 3 p.m. when the crash occurred. Norris’ wife pulled off of Earlene Ave onto Lake Ave striking a four door Chevy Lumina sending it across the street and into a yard. Norris said that his wife had told him that she saw the Lumina but that the right turn signal was on so she thought that the car was turning onto Earlene. “That is why she pulled out, she thought the woman was going to make a turn. My wife has never been in an accident before; she is a very cautious driver. I am just glad that everybody is ok here.”

Elyria Township Fire Department responded and transported Norris’s and Grandson as well as the driver of the Lumina to Elyria Memorial Hospital.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
