MAN ROBBED AT ELYRIA MOTEL

Elyria – A Chicago man that was in Elyria for a meeting at Invacare reported being robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday night in the parking lot of Best Western.
The man told Police that he had arrived at the Best Western just before 11 p.m. As he was getting out of his car and began pulling his bags out of the back seat he felt a tap on his shoulder. When he turned around he saw a man pointing a black and silver handgun at him demanding his cash. The man turned over $150.00 and then the suspect fled on foot towards Wendy’s.
The man described the suspect as a black male in his 30’s with medium complexion, grey stocking hat and a red or orange checkered plaid jacket.
Police arrived within two minutes of the call searched the area, including surveillance cameras, but were unable to locate the suspect.
