DOMINIOS PIZZA DRIVER ROBBED

Elyria – Yet another pizza delivery guy has been robbed at gunpoint in Elyria – this time it was a driver for Dominos on East Ave.

The driver told Police that he was delivering pizzas to an address on Hodge Court in Wilkes Villa off of Fuller Road about 9 p.m. on Friday. The driver stated that three black males robbed him of his cash, cell phone and pizzas before running off towards Tedman Court.

The driver returned to the pizza shop just around the corner to report the robbery.

Police Officers, along with Elyria K9 Foky, searched the area for the suspects. Although they did not find the three men they did locate several items in a creek that runs just east of the complex. Among those items found was a passport that had just been taken from a burglary on East River Road in Carlisle Township.

Police continued to search the area and found a window broken out of an apartment on Tedman Court. A search of the apartment turned up more items from the burglary and a couple of pieces of pepperoni pizza. Just outside of the apartment Police also discovered bags that had been taken from the East River home containing ammunition. A gun that had been taken from the home was not found.

The only description the man could give Police was 3 black males about 6 feet tall wearing black jackets and hoodies.
