CAR STRIKES HOUSE ON GULF ROAD

Elyria – An Elyria man was injured Monday afternoon after he drove off the road and struck a house on Gulf Road.

Police say 56 year old Allan Forrest of Elyria was traveling north on Gulf Road near Elyria Catholic High School when he lost control of his 2006 Chevy Equinox. Forrest went left of center into oncoming traffic, jumped a curb, drove across a lawn and struck a house at 750 Gulf Road.

The damage to the house was minor but LifeCare Paramedics had to treat Forrest and transport him to Elyria Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. A bystander said they believed Forrest may have had a medical issue prior to the crash causing him to lose control.

Police cited Forrest with Reasonable Control.
