Story & Photos by BRIAN WOODS
North Ridgeville – A strange crash Tuesday night on the Ohio Turnpike left some wondering, “how did that happen.”

James Zeiset of Atlanta, Georgia was traveling west on the Ohio Turnpike in his semi hauling a load of sheet metal when a car came out of nowhere and hit him. “I’m driving along and then all of a sudden a car just came out of the sky and hit me.”

The car came from Route 10, the driver, Rocky Iammarino of Elyria, had lost control and went off a bridge, got air born and fell down to the Turnpike where he struck Zeiset.

Zeiset said Iammarino got out of his car and was stumbling around, “he wreaked of alcohol.”

Iammarino was transported to the hospital by Paramedics from the North Ridgeville Fire Department. Zeiset refused any treatment or transport by Paramedics.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Ridgeville Police Department.
