WEATHER ALERT

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for Lorain County until 5:15PM.

National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated at 4:07PM a Severe Thunderstorm capable of producing destructive winds in excess of 70MPH.

This storm was located near Vermilion and moving at 38MPH.

Other locations in the Warning include but are not limited to: Wellington, Amherst, Elyria, Grafton, North Ridgeville and Avon Lake.

This storm has a history of producing destructive winds and large damaging hail. Seek shelter now inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

UPDATE: The Severe Thunderstorm Warning is now expired – however, Lorain County remains under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 8PM.
