CAR STRIKES POLE ~ DRIVER FLEES

FOUND AT HOME A COUPLE BLOCKS AWAY

Elyria – Neighbors said it was only a matter of time before this particular driver crashed. “We have been watching him race up and down the street all night and then while he was heading towards West Ridge he went off the left side of the road and hit something.”

Police were called to the area of Turner Blvd just east of West Ridge after a man slammed his car into a light pole. As Police and Paramedics arrived they found blood in the car but couldn’t find the driver.

A quick run of the plates on the car led the Police to the 100 block of Potomac Drive. Once they arrived they found a man with a severe cut to his head and bleeding.

Paramedics treated and transported the man from the home to Elyria Memorial Hospital with the head injury.

The Elyria Police are investigating the crash.
