We spoke on scene with Captain Greg Davis of the Sheffield Village Fire Department and he said that his Department has had their share of crashes and assists, and they expect more to come. “Our street department has done a really good job today, they were out early getting a jump on the storm but we have still had some crashes and spinouts.” Captain Davis said that during their down time they have been closely monitoring the radar to see where the storm is and when it will hit again. “They’re saying that tonight through tomorrow night at 7pm we will be getting the bulk of the storm, the most accumulation, so I would advise people that if they don’t absolutely have to go out to maybe just stay at home. When the winds kick in and the snow starts blowing and drifting that is when the roads will really become dangerous so its best to stay off the roads, this will also allow road crews to clear the streets.”
