Can you say déjà vu?

A crash involving a Lorain County Transit But on East 31st Street Saturday afternoon made some neighbors think back about a week ago, but grateful that this crash was not nearly as serious.

Police say the driver of a Buick Regal was traveling eastbound behind a LCT Bus on 31st just east of Grove when it attempted to speed past the bus only to turn into their driveway about 4 houses from the corner. The bus struck the rear passenger side of the Regal pushing it up into the driveway smashing the back door. Very little damage was visible to the bus.
LifeCare Ambulance responded and although there were six people in the Regal and four on the bus, none were transported to the hospital. Police say the driver of the Regal will likely be charged with an improper turn.

I'm really not surprised, in a sense. I've honked at and raised my voice to a number of LCT buses in the past, as they drive very fast, and take for granted that they'll be permitted to change lanes. The worst is on 58, just into Lorain, where there is a stop by the bank and Walgreen's, and then they have to turn into the northernmost entrance of Super K.

I've not been impressed with their driving skills. Not in the least.
