SNOWFALL CREATES A MORNING MESS
The snow came in strong with white out conditions throughout the morning rush and into the afternoon leaving drivers spinning out and crashing into one another. More hazardous weather is expected tonight through tomorrow morning. To see more photos: CLICK HERE
The National Weather Service has upgraded the Snow Advisory to a *LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING* for Lorain County through 6am Friday morning.
A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW HAS DEVELOPED OVER NORTHERN LORAIN COUNTY. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES HAVE ALREADY FALLEN ACROSS THE NORTHERN PART OF THE COUNTY...AND ANOTHER 2 TO LOCALLY 6 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON. SNOW MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES WITH LOCALLY AN INCH PER HOUR SNOWFALL RATES. ANOTHER 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT BEFORE THE SNOW DIMINISHES. A FEW SPOTS MAY SEE STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 8 INCHES BY FRIDAY MORNING WHICH HAS PROMPTED THE ADVISORY TO BE UPGRADED TO A WARNING.
