FATAL CRASH IN LAGRANGE
LaGrange Township Fire & Rescue responded to Whitehead Road this afternoon for a reported two car crash. The crash claimed the life of one man, Don Kendall of LaGrange, and sent two teenagers by helicopter to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center.Witnesses say that as Kendall’s car was turning into Lynn’s Town & Country Beauty Salon on Whitehead Road when another car, driven by 18 year old Chris Canon, collided with it, spinning it around then rolling over landing in a ditch pinning Kendall and his 15 year old son. Canon’s car ended up on the opposite side of the road in the ditch but did not roll over.
LifeCare Ambulance Paramedics transported Canon and the 15 year old Kendall to Elyria Memorial Hospital. Metro Life Flight landed at Community Park in LaGrange to take the elder Kendall but Life Flight doctors pronounced him dead at the scene. That helicopter then left LaGrange to go pick up one of the two teens at EMH for transport to Cleveland.
