TEEN HURT IN MUD FRISBEE GAME
Amherst – An Amherst teen was injured while playing a game of Mud Frisbee Saturday afternoon in a muddy school field off Washington Street.
LifeCare Paramedics were called to the field after the young man injured his arm going for the Frisbee. The youth told Medics that he had dislocated his shoulder recently and that he was supposed to see the doctor about it later next week.
Initially Paramedics requested the Fire Department to assist them in extricating the victim from the field. But then other Frisbee Players set down their Frisbees, grabbed a section of the backboard and carried their teammate from the field to the parking lot.
The teen was then transported to Amherst Hospital Emergency Room for further treatment and to have the mud cleaned off of him.
