MAN TAKES OUT POLE – FLIPS CAR
Lorain – A late night crash in Lorain sent one man to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland after being trapped in the car he was driving.
The man was east on West Erie Ave when he was making his way onto West 21st Street. The man went off the left side of the road and took out a utility pole. The Jeep he was driving then flipped several times before coming to rest on its roof – pinning the man inside.
Lorain Firefighters worked to extricate the man whose arm was trapped under the car. LifeCare Ambulance Paramedics treated the man at the scene then transported him to Community Health Partners Emergency Room. The man was later flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
Debris from the crash covered a large area of the roadway and into the trees.
The Lorain Police is investigating the crash.
