2 INJURED IN FIGHT OVER GIRL

Elyria – Two men injured after fighting over a woman. One of the men was charged with Felonious Assault.

Police responded to Colonial Oaks Mobile Home Park after receiving calls that a man had been stabbed during a fight. When Officers arrived they found a white male standing in the middle of the street with no shirt on and bleeding from his hand. The man, later identified as 34 year old Robert Warlow, told Officers that he had been arguing with 33-year-old Chad Wilson. Wilson said the fight was due to the fact that he had accused Wilson of sleeping with his girlfriend. Warlow told Officers that nobody had been stabbed. He advised Officers that he and Wilson were going to fight so he took his shirt off and then cut his finger “attempting to take his pants off.” When Officers asked how he cut his finger while taking his pants off he said he cut it on the belt buckle.

Officers observed Warlow wearing a brown woven leather belt with a brass buckle but without any sharp edges.

Officers then spoke to Wilson who was still inside of the mobile home on Pennsylvania where the fight took place. According to Wilson the two had been standing in the kitchen area drinking beer when Warlow got upset and got into his face. Wilson said that Warlow began choking him and threatened to “stick him.” Warlow then stabbed Wilson in the shoulder – the two then began fighting. The girlfriend then jumped in and grabbed Warlow and told him to leave. Warlow then left the residence.

Police observed a cut to Wilson’s right shoulder and to his forehead as well.

The girlfriend advised Police that Warlow stabbed Wilson and directed Police to the knife on the kitchen counter. She also advised Police that several children were in the area at the time of the fight.

Police recovered a 10” knife with blood on it and also found blood on the kitchen floor with a trail leading out of the trailer.
Police charged Warlow with Felonious Assault and advised Wilson the procedure how to obtain a restraining order against Warlow if he wished to pursue one.
