DRIVE THROUGH NOW AVAILABLE

Elyria – Police are investigating why a woman drove her Ford Taurus through the front of Alltel on West River Road across from the Midway Mall.

The car traveled through the front window, across the showroom and struck the stores back wall. Although witnesses say there were several employees and customers inside of the store, nobody was struck or injured by the flying debris. One Alltel employee said it was an “extremely scary and shocking experience.”

The driver of the car refused treatment or transport from LifeCare Paramedics. She was taken to a nearby store until her son in law arrived and took her home.
