MANTINI HIT BY FIRE AGAIN
Lorain – Lorain Auditor Ron Mantini is having a run of bad luck when it comes to the properties that he owns as another one caught fire Thursday morning.
In December a building on the site of the old Sports & Stuff complex on Cooper Foster Park Road, owned by Mantini was completely destroyed by fire. Thursday Lorain Firefighters responded to another property owned by the Auditor on Tower Blvd. Thursday’s fire was confined to a bedroom in the duplex causing extensive damage. Nobody was at home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
Although the fire did not spread to the next apartment there was extensive smoke and water dames throughout causing it to be uninhabitable until repairs and clean up is completed.
Lorain Fire Investigators have begun searching for the cause but due to the extent of damage that task will be a tall one.
