TEENS BUSTED WITH STOLEN LAPTOP

Elyria – From our “What were they Thinking” files – Elyria Police were called to the Radio Shack across from the Midway Mall Sunday afternoon after employees spotted several suspicious teens who they believed might have been involved in a theft of a laptop from their Lorain store.

Police responded and searched the area but at first were unable to locate the three young men. One Officer spotted a couple teenagers who matched the description of the teens on West River near Stoney Brook. While Officers were talking with those subjects a Security Guard patrolling the area spotted three possible suspects go into the Game Stop store next to Radio Shack.

Police caught up to the three teens, detained and searched them – finding the laptop in a knapsack.

One 18-year-old male was taken into custody and two other under age teens were held for questioning by Lorain Police Officers.

Employees from Radio Shack believe that the teen was going to try and return the laptop, stolen from their Lorain store, to their Elyria store.
