The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Special Weather Statement for Northwest & North Central Ohio.
A strong cold front will move across Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania this evening – directly ahead and behind the front winds will increase to 25 to 35 MPH with wind gusts to 45 MPH.
The winds will be strongest across northwest and north central Ohio – and the Erie Lake Shore. Winds will weaken late this evening as the front moves quickly east of the area.
Motorists in high profile vehicles should use caution until the winds subside.
Tonight: Rain and snow showers before 10pm, then a slight chance of snow showers between 10pm and 1am. Low around 25. Breezy, with a west wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Christmas Day: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. West wind between 11 and 14 mph becoming light. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.
