WEATHER ALERT - WIND ADVISORY
The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a WIND ADVISORY for North Central and Northeast Ohio – The Advisory is in effect from 2PM to Midnight.
South winds will increase during the mid day and late afternoon as the remnants of Hurricane Ike move toward the Lower Great Lakes.
Wind Gusts of 40 to 50 MPH are possible by late afternoon or evening. The strongest winds will likely occur during showers and thunderstorms during the evening hours. Winds are expected to shift to the west early tonight.
A WIND ADVISORY is issued when sustained winds are forecasted to be 31 to 39 MPH or Gusts will range from 46 to 57 MPH. Winds of these magnitudes may cause minor property damage without extra precautions. Motorists in high profile vehicles should use caution until winds subside.
