LORAIN IS LEAKING GAS

EVACUATION ORDERS LIFTED

Lorain Firefighters and Columbia Gas are dealing with a gas leak on Oberlin Ave. and West 15th Street at this hour. Workers from Fitzgerald and Son Trucking, who were there to deliver stone to a work site, said they were told to clear out. Leaving their trucks behind they walked two blocks down to wait it out. One of the workers said that a gas line had been punctured while work was being done on the sewer lines.

Firefighters have evacuated residents from surrounding homes while work is being done to repair the busted line.
