MAN BURIES TRUCK IN TREES
A report of a single car crash on Route 10 near Grafton Road sent Carlisle Township Firefighters, LifeCare Ambulance Paramedics and the Ohio State Patrol searching but at first with no luck. Just as everyone was about to give up and go home, a man called 9-1-1 saying that he could see rescuers passing him. The man had buried his truck in the woods on Route 10 just west of Route 57. A State Patrol Trooper was able to see the man’s hand waving as he approached the guardrail near the crash.
The man was traveling westbound on Route 10 when his pick up truck went off the road striking a light pole, guardrail and a number of trees before coming to rest buried about 20 to 30 feet down into the trees.
Carlisle Township Fire Department Chief Russ Gardner said that the man was out of the truck when they arrived on scene. “He ended up about 20 to 30 feet over the embankment and when we got to him he was complaining of abdominal pains. We back boarded him and LifeCare transported him to Elyria Memorial Hospital.”
The man told authorities that he was swerving to miss a deer that had run out in front of his truck. No deer was found at the scene.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

I can't believe the deer didn't stay around to give his side of the story.
matt
Ive seen deer right over there dead before on the way to and from work heh so it could have happend. But you know how police are one of my friends hit one and the cop tried to say he hit another car or something until he pulled some hair from the deer off the under of the car lol
I thought they always say NOT to swerve, and to hit the deer. My insurance company will not pay a claim without evidence of the deer. He's lucky he wasn't ejected from the truck. I guess you never know.
