BASEMENT FIRE HITS RUSSIA ROAD HOME

Carlisle Township – A fire that started in the basement at 41591 Russia Road Monday afternoon caused heavy smoke damage throughout the house but no injuries were reported.

Someone driving by the Russia Road home spotted the smoke pouring from the house called 9-1-1 just after 3pm. Nobody was inside of the home at the time of the fire. A family cat was found unharmed inside of the garage.

Firefighters are investigating the cause of the blaze.
