PATROL CONFIRMS 3 DEAD

Lieutenant Travis Hughes of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has confirmed three fatalities at the scene of this afternoon’s plane crash.

Hughes stated that the plane was on approach to the airport when it crashed just inside the fence. “At this point we have confirmed 3 fatalities with a possibility of a 4th. We do not know why it crashed and the wreckage is severe. Our role in this right now is to secure the scene until the FAA or one of their representatives arrive – until then we will secure and hold the scene.”

Hughes is the Commander of the Elyria Post of the State Patrol.
