FIRE BREAKS OUT IN FRIGID TEMPS
Story & Photos by: BRIAN WOODS
Carlisle Township – Firefighters from several communities worked to extinguish a fire on Indian Hollow Road in Carlisle Township Saturday night in frigid and icy conditions.
Chief Kevin Dembiec of the Carlisle Township said the fire was contained to room and contents inside a multi-use structure. “The fire did extend into the tin ceiling of the structure which made it especially difficult to fully extinguish. The icy conditions on the metal roof also created hazards for the Firefighters.”
The fire was called in at 7:53 p.m. and was located at “Raymond’s Landscaping” on Indian Hollow Road.
Mutual Aid was provided by Elyria, Eaton Township, LaGrange and Oberlin Fire Departments.
The fire is currently under investigation.
