MAN KILLED IN LAKE RD CRASH
WOMAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION
AFTER MOTORCYCLE GOES OFF ROAD

Sheffield Lake – Officials within the Sheffield Lake Police Department are investigating a motorcycle crash that left one dead and another in critical condition late Thursday night.
Suzanne Hoenig of Lake Road in Sheffield Lake said she and her husband were in their family room when they heard a loud noise outside of their home. “At first we thought it was our neighbor working on his race car. He has been working on it all summer and we have been hearing those noises but then we went to look out the window and we saw the lights of the motorcycle in our neighbor's front yard.”

The two had been riding west on Lake Road, about a half mile west of Abbe Road, when they went off the right side off the road. The bike took out garbage cans and a mailbox before striking a utility pole.
Firefighters treated both victims on scene and transported both to Avon Emergency Care Center. The male victim was pronounced dead at the hospital and the female was treated then flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland in critical condition.
UPDATE:
Police have identified the man who was operating the 2007 Harley Davidson at the time of the crash as 48-year-old Terry Brennan of Sheffield Lake. The passenger, 38-year-old Michelle Belcher of Sheffield Lake, is still listed in critical condition at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
