ELYRIA TEEN KILLED IN CRASH
Elyria – The Elyria Police Department is investigating the crash that claimed the life of 18 year old Andrew Schaefer of Elyria Monday morning.Schaefer was traveling west on Lowell Street from Lake Ave 8:30 a.m. when he lost control of his bike and crashed in the 600 block of Lowell near Waverly.
LifeCare Paramedics treated Schaefer at the scene then transported him to Elyria Memorial Hospital where he was later flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. Schaefer died later at Metro during surgery.
