GIRL STRUCK BY LCT BUS

FLOWN TO METRO FROM AIRPORT

Elyria – A 17 year old girl was struck by a Lorain County Transit bus Monday afternoon while she was riding her bike home.

The girl was riding through the intersection of Barbara and Allen around 3 p.m. when she collided with the LCT bus.

Paramedics treated the girl at the scene and transported her to the Lorain County Regional Airport where Metro LifeFlight was ready and waiting to take over care of the teen.

The girl was flown from the airport, which houses one of Metro’s aircrafts, to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland with a fractured leg.

The Elyria Police are investigating the crash.
