TRUCK TAKES DOWN 2 POLES

DRIVER FLEES SCENE THROUGH CORNFIELD

Elyria – Police were called to the area of West Ridge Road, just north of Brunswick, Saturday night after a pick up truck collided with a couple utility poles.

When Police and rescuers arrived on scene witnesses say a white male with sandy blond hair had gotten out of the truck and headed south towards the cornfield. Witnesses say the man first sat down and began smoking a cigarette but then disappeared into the fields.

Police remained on scene for several hours while Ohio Edison worked to repair the poles and lines.
