POLICE WAITING FOR TEST RESULTS

AFTER MAN CRASHES CAR INTO POLE
Amherst – Charges are pending against Roberto Horvath while Police wait for the outcome of blood samples taken from Horvath after a late night crash on Saturday.

Amherst Police responded to 500 block of Cleveland Ave. at 1:19am Sunday morning after receiving reports of a single car crashing into a utility pole. Officers found a green Ford Taurus sitting in the roadway across from 581 Cleveland Ave with heavy front-end damage. Horvath was out of the vehicle and sitting in the front yard of 581 Cleveland and being tended to by the 9-1-1 caller.

Amherst Firefighters and LifeCare Paramedics responded and treated Horvath on the scene before transporting him to Amherst Hospital Emergency Room. A blood sample was taken from Horvath while at the Emergency Room to determine if alcohol or drugs played a part in the crash.
