INATTENTIVE DRIVER ROLLS CAR

South Amherst – A driver not paying attention was the cause of a single car roll over Monday afternoon on Baumhart Road.

A witness said he was traveling northbound on Baumhart when he slowed down to make a right turn into his driveway. He noticed in his mirror that the car behind him was coming up on him at a high rate of speed. The driver of the car then noticed the white pick up truck and went left of center losing control of her car. She over corrected and ended up rolling her car over coming to rest on its roof.

The driver of the truck ran to check on the woman who was able to get out of her car on her own. The man told Troopers that the woman said she wasn’t paying attention and didn’t see him till the last minute.

Paramedics from Central Lorain County Ambulance District treated the woman on scene then transported her to Allen Medical Center in Oberlin with a bump on her head.

Troopers say the woman will likely be charged with Failure to Control.
