BITTER COLD RETURNING

The National Weather Service has extended the FLOOD WARNING for the Black River in Elyria until further notice.

At 1 P.M. Thursday afternoon the stage was 16.3 feet and falling. Flood stage is 9.5 feet and at 14 feet flooding begins throughout Cascade Park in Elyria. Moderate flooding is occuring and more flooding is expected.

ARTIC AIR will return to the region Saturday and Sunday. Bitterly cold temps and lake effect snow showers and possible squalls can be expected Saturday through Sunday.


THE NEXT 24 HOURS
Tonight: A chance of flurries before 7pm, then a chance of snow showers after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 25. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.


Friday: A chance of snow showers before 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 36. South wind between 6 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Friday Night: Snow showers likely, mainly after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 29. South wind between 8 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
