THOU SHALL NOT LIE

Elyria Police arrested the owner of the Pontiac Grand Am that slammed into a house at 400 10th Street early Tuesday morning. Police say that 24-year-old Jesse Napier was traveling south on West Ave when he lost control and drove across the yard and into the porch, moving it off the foundation.

Napier, who was driving under suspension, backed the Grand Am up and fled the scene. The problem is he drove down 10th Street and parked the car on the street just a couple houses down from his residence. While Police were investigating the crash Napier had a brainstorm of an idea. He called the Police to report that his car had been stolen; that will work right? Nope. Perhaps Napier didn’t see the residents of the home that he crashed into looking out the windows right at him. They were able to give Police a perfect description of Napier.

Napier was charged with Driving Under Suspension, Reasonable Control and Leaving the Scene.

i think the car was a pontiac grand am as opposed to a "buick." its probably just a sign that your working to hard when you start to mix stories together. (when buicks collide.) maybe a vacation is in order. :)

I am so glad to see that his car wasn't stolen after all!
He just had selective memory problems.
He forgot he didn't have a valid drivers license, he forgot how to drive, he forgot that he was seen behind the wheel of the car, he forgot what he had done and he forgot its against the law to file a false police report!
Hopefully the owners of the house can get his insurance to pay to repair the damages to the house and the courts can make him pay for what he forgot. Patsy
