CRASH IN SHEFFIELD

Sheffield Police and Fire responded to the 4100 block of North Abbe Road late this afternoon for a three-car crash.

Sheffield Village Fire Department Captain Greg Davis said that five people were taken to area hospitals from the crash. “We believe at this point that all victims received minor injuries but we wanted to make sure everyone got checked out.”

Sheffield Village Fire received mutual aid from Sheffield Lake and Avon Fire Departments in treating and transporting the five victims.

One of the vehicles struck and broke a fire hydrant in the front yard of 4170 N. Abbe Road. Sheffield Village Street Department employees were on hand to stop the flow of water.
