SHOOTING IN ELYRIA

Bill Basham walked into the Elyria Police Department lobby last night around 11pm and reported that he had just shot his friend Michael Owens. Basham, 23, told the Police that Owens, 17, was at the Emergency Room and that the gun he used to shoot Owens was in his vehicle in the Police Department parking lot.

Police Officials observed that Basham had a large amount of blood on his pants, jacket and white tennis shoes. Basham also had blood covering his hands. The Shooting occurred at 609 Furnace Street where Owens resides.

Basham was arrested and booked for Felonious Assault and is currently being held in the Elyria City Jail.
